Motivation and Context

This server solves the problem of LLMs struggling to understand large C++ codebases through text search alone. By using libclang for semantic analysis, it provides IDE-like code understanding capabilities including class hierarchies, function signatures, and call graph analysis. This is particularly valuable for C++ projects where grep-based searches miss important context like inheritance relationships and function overloading.

How Has This Been Tested?

Tested with Claude Code (npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code) on Windows. Successfully tested scenarios include:

• Searching for classes and functions by pattern
• Analyzing inheritance hierarchies
• Tracing function call graphs
• Understanding template classes and overloaded functions
